Washington County Library

Washington County Library was founded in 1966, and serves the patrons of Washington County, Minnesota from seven branches, three locker locations, and a law library. Building on a legacy of local community libraries stretching back to 1889, the county has had a long history of varied library services and active community support. 

From the county’s contributed items, there is a selection of photographs highlighting the various traveling library and bookmobile services that extended access to library resources to rural and homebound library patrons from the early 1900s.
