Schroeder Area Historical Society

The Schroeder Area Historical Society is a non-profit organization established in 1996 that operates the Cross River Heritage Center in Schroeder, Minnesota. Schroeder’s history is much deeper than it appears today and the mission of the Schroeder Area Historical Society is to research, document, record, and preserve the unique history of Schroeder Township and its residents as well as provide insight and reference for future generations. The Schroeder Area Historical Society's oral history collection is a series of audio and video taped interviews completed from 1999 to 2011 including early settlers, children and grandchildren of the early settlers, and more recent year-round and summer residents.
