The Saint Paul Public Library was founded in 1882, and now serves the city of Saint Paul, Minnesota from a Central Library, 12 branches, and a bookmobile. Among its special collections, the library maintains documents and other items detailing Saint Paul's history. The library contributed to the Minnesota Digital Library photographs taken between 1913 and 1916 capturing the Central Library during various phases of its construction and a collection of aerial photos of St. Paul from the mid-1920s. The construction photographs also depict equipment, practices and other details of the period.
