The New Richland Area Historical Society was formed in 2001, one year before the 125th anniversary of the town's founding. The society collects historic pictures, articles and other items from the community and displays this collection during the town's annual celebration, Farm and City Days, during the second week of July. A most recent donation was glass slides of photographs shown before movies at Faust Theater from about 1914 to 1940. It is this collection of slides that the New Richland Historical Society has provided to Minnesota Reflections.
