Meeker County Historical Society

The Meeker County Historical Society operates the Meeker County Museum and G.A.R. Hall in Litchfield, Minnesota. It is the mission of the Meeker County Historical Society to enhance, archive, and preserve the Meeker County Museum, G.A.R. Hall, and its growing collection of artifacts of local historical and genealogical significance. For the Minnesota Digital Library, the society shared materials documenting the history of the Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.) in their area, including the Frank Daggett Post Number 35, G.A.R. encampments, and three account books that record local members of the G.A.R.
