The Kanabec History Center, located in Mora, Minnesota, is owned and operated by the Kanabec County Historical Society and preserves and maintains the history of Kanabec County. We collect three-dimensional items; documented accounts of families, organizations, and events; newspapers; birth, death, and marriage records; and photographs. Together, these collections record the stories of our citizens and our home. The items contributed by the Kanabec County Historical Society to the Minnesota Digital Library depict life in east central Minnesota. Our facility is open year-round and is located on 37 acres bordered by the Snake River. We have and maintain many indoor and outdoor displays and interactive exhibits.
