Iron Range Research Center

The Iron Range Research Center is the library and archiving division of Ironworld Discovery Center in Chisholm, Minnesota, a historical museum founded in 1977. The mission of the research center is to collect, preserve and interpret the history of Minnesota's iron ranges and the people who settled in this northeastern region of the state. The Iron Range Research Center contributed more than 370 images to Minnesota Reflections. Many of the photographs show the history and development of iron industry on Mesabi Iron Range. Others show the lumber industry, railroads and town development in the area.
