Grand Marais Public Library is a city library serving all of Cook County, Minnesota. It is also a member of the Arrowhead Library System. The library was formed in December of 1904. Through the years, the library has been housed in several different buildings and, today, serves as a cultural hub for residents and tourists alike. In addition to encouraging literacy and a sense of community belonging, the library provides collections and programs that reflect the rich history of the North Shore of Lake Superior.
