The Girl Scout Council of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys, formed in 2007 from five legacy councils in Minnesota, serves girls in 44 Minnesota counties, as well as four counties in Wisconsin and one in Iowa. The River Valleys Archival Collection reflects the early history of Girl Scouting through its uniform and handbook collections, photographs, program materials, correspondence and newsletters. The Girl Scout Council of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys' contributions to the Minnesota Digital Library share their early history through very early photographs, programs and music, as well as original correspondence from Juliette Gordon Low, founder of Girl Scouts USA.
