Minnesota Digital Library to Launch Public Library Partnership Project

The Minnesota Digital Library, managed by Minitex, has received a $100,000 grant from the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA) via the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The grant will enable us to launch a Public Library Partnership Project (PLPP) to help public libraries in Minnesota digitize collections and to train staff in e-content creation skills.

Public libraries in Minnesota are invited to participate in this exciting opportunity. The grant will pay for digital skills training, assistance with historic content selection, digitization and metadata creation, and an introduction to online exhibit creation. For more information, visit the PLPP webpage.
